கொட்டாஞ்சேனை பிரதேசத்தில் அண்மையில் ஒருவரைச் சுட்டுக் கொன்ற சம்பவத்திற்கு உதவிய குற்றச்சாட்டில், மேலும் ஆண் ஒருவரும் பெண் ஒருவரும் கொழும்பு மாவட்டக் குற்றத் தடுப்புப் பிரிவினரால் நேற்று (13) கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
கைது செய்யப்பட்ட ஆண்களின் சந்தேகநபர், இந்தக் குற்றத்தைச் செய்ய துப்பாக்கிதாரி வந்த காரின் சாரதியாக இருந்தவர் என்றும், சந்தேகநபரான பெண், இந்தக் குற்றத்தைச் செய்ய வந்த நபர்களுக்குத் தங்குமிட வசதிகளை வழங்கியவர் என்றும் பொலிஸார் தெரிவித்தனர்.
கைது செய்யப்பட்ட இந்தச் சந்தேகநபர்களில், ஆணுக்கு 27 வயது எனவும், அவர் கொழும்பு 13 பிரதேசத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர் எனவும், சந்தேகநபரான பெண்ணுக்கு 32 வயது எனவும், அவர் மஹரகம பிரதேசத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர் எனவும் பொலிஸார் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளனர்.
தற்போது, கொழும்பு மாவட்டக் குற்றத் தடுப்புப் பிரிவினர் இவர்களைத் தடுப்புக் காவல் உத்தரவின் கீழ் தடுத்து வைத்துக்கொண்டு மேலதிக விசாரணைகளைத் தீவிரமாக மேற்கொண்டு வருகின்றனர்.
கடந்த 7ஆம் திகதி கொட்டாஞ்சேனை பொலிஸ் பிரிவின் 16ஆம் ஒழுங்கைப் பிரதேசத்திலேயே இந்த மனிதக் கொலைச் சம்பவம் இடம்பெற்றது. விசாரணைகளின்போது, கொல்லப்பட்டவர் குற்றக் கும்பல் உறுப்பினரான ‘பூகுடு கண்ணா’ என்ற பாலச்சந்திரன் புஷ்பராஜ் என்பவரின் உதவியாளர் என்பது தெரியவந்துள்ளது.
A man and a woman were arrested yesterday (13) by the Colombo District Crime Prevention Unit for aiding the recent shooting murder in Kotahena. The male suspect was the driver of the car used by the shooter, and the female suspect provided accommodation to those involved in the crime. The arrested individuals are a 27-year-old man from Colombo 13 and a 32-year-old woman from Maharagama. They are currently being detained under a detention order for further investigation. The murder took place on the 7th in Kotahena’s 16th Lane, and the victim has been identified as an assistant to the notorious organized crime gang member, Balachandran Pushparaj, also known as ‘Pukudu Kanna.’
