தற்போது 15 இலட்சம் விண்ணப்பங்கள் தேசிய அடையாள அட்டைகளை வழங்குவதற்காகக் குவிந்துள்ளதாக அத்திணைக்களம் கூறியுள்ளது. இந்த அடையாள அட்டைகளைத் திட்டமிட்ட அடிப்படையில் அச்சிட்டு விநியோகிக்கும் பணி தற்போது நடைபெற்று வருகிறது.

The Department for Registration of Persons has announced that the process of issuing National Identity Cards (NICs) is continuing without interruption. The department stated that they currently have a backlog of 1.5 million applications for NICs, and the work of printing and distributing these cards is ongoing based on a planned schedule. Furthermore, NICs are also being continuously distributed to general applicants who visit the department daily to obtain them.
