கிராண்ட்பாஸ் பொலிஸ் பிரிவுக்குட்பட்ட மஹவத்த மணிக்கூட்டுக் கோபுரத்திற்கு அருகில் கடந்த 5ஆம் திகதி மோட்டார் சைக்கிளில் வந்த இருவரால் ஒருவர் சுட்டுக் கொல்லப்பட்ட சம்பவம் தொடர்பாக இருவர் பொலிஸாரால் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
இந்தக் கொலை தொடர்பாக கொழும்பு வடக்கு குற்றவியல் பிரிவு நடத்திய விசாரணைகளின் அடிப்படையில், இந்தக் குற்றத்திற்கு உதவிய குற்றச்சாட்டின் கீழ், நேற்று (07) இரண்டு சந்தேக நபர்களும் பொலிஸாரால் கைது செய்யப்பட்டனர்.
கைது செய்யப்பட்ட சந்தேக நபர்கள், கொழும்பு 15ஐ சேர்ந்த 31 மற்றும் 32 வயதுடையவர்கள் என பொலிஸார் தெரிவித்தனர்.
இந்தச் சம்பவம் தொடர்பான மேலதிக விசாரணைகளை கிராண்ட்பாஸ் பொலிஸார் மேற்கொண்டு வருகின்றனர்.
Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a person near the Mahawatta Clock Tower in the Grandpass Police Division on the 5th of this month. The suspects, aged 31 and 32 and from Colombo 15, were arrested yesterday for aiding the crime following an investigation by the Colombo North Criminal Division. Further investigations are being carried out by the Grandpass Police.
