திருகோணமலை-கிண்ணியா பிரதான வீதியில் நேற்று (31) இடம்பெற்ற மோட்டார் சைக்கிள் விபத்தில் இளைஞன் ஒருவர் படுகாயமடைந்துள்ளதாகப் பொலிஸார் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
கிண்ணியா பிரதான வீதியில் இரு மோட்டார் சைக்கிள்கள் நேருக்கு நேர் மோதியதிலேயே இந்த விபத்து ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.
இதில் படுகாயமடைந்த இளைஞன், முதலில் கிண்ணியா தள வைத்தியசாலையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டு, பின்னர் மேலதிக சிகிச்சைக்காகத் திருகோணமலை பொது வைத்தியசாலைக்கு மாற்றப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
விபத்தில் காயமடைந்தவர் கிண்ணியா, மாலிந்துரை பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த இளைஞன் எனத் தெரியவந்துள்ளது. இந்த விபத்து தொடர்பான மேலதிக விசாரணைகளை கிண்ணியா பொலிஸார் மேற்கொண்டு வருகின்றனர்.
A young man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on the Trincomalee-Kinniya main road yesterday. The accident occurred when two motorcycles collided head-on. The victim was first admitted to the Kinniya Base Hospital and was later transferred to the Trincomalee General Hospital for further treatment. The injured man has been identified as a resident of the Malinthurai area in Kinniya. The Kinniya police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
