போதைப்பொருள் கடத்தல் தொடர்பாகத் தகவல் வழங்குவதற்காக அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்ட 1818 தொலைபேசி இலக்கத்துக்கு 800 இற்கும் மேற்பட்ட முறைப்பாடுகள் கிடைத்துள்ளதாகப் பொதுமக்கள் பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சர் ஆனந்த விஜேபால தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இந்த 800 முறைப்பாடுகளும் கடந்த 4 நாட்களுக்குள் கிடைத்துள்ளதாக அவர் மேலும் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.
கொழும்பு மாவட்டச் செயலகத்தில் நேற்று (நவம்பர் 09) நடைபெற்ற, விஷப் போதைப்பொருள் ஒழிப்புக்கான ‘முழு நாடுமே ஒன்றாக’ தேசிய நிகழ்ச்சித் திட்டத்தின் கொழும்பு மாவட்டச் செயற்பாட்டுத் திட்டத்தில் கலந்துகொண்டு உரையாற்றும் போதே அமைச்சர் இதனைக் கூறினார்.
“பாடசாலைகள் தொடர்பான தகவல்கள் கிடைத்துள்ளன. 1818 அவசர அழைப்பு இலக்கத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியதன் பின்னர், 4 நாட்களுக்குள் சுமார் 800 தொலைபேசி அழைப்புகள் கிடைத்துள்ளன. அவை சுற்றிவளைப்புகளை மேற்கொள்ளுமாறு பொலிஸ் மா அதிபரிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. கொழும்பு மாவட்டத்தில் இருந்து அதிகளவான தகவல்கள் வருகின்றன.”
“அதேபோல், இந்த நடவடிக்கைகள் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்ட முதல் 4 நாட்களில் பொலிஸார் மேற்கொண்ட நடவடிக்கைகளில் 5,300 பேர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர். இதன்போது கொழும்பு மாவட்டத்தில் போதைப்பொருள் பரவல் அதிகளவில் உள்ளதைக் காண முடிந்தது.” என்றார்.
The Minister of Public Security, Ananda Wijepala, announced that over 800 complaints have been received via the newly introduced 1818 hotline for reporting drug trafficking.
He noted that these 800 complaints were received within the last four days since the hotline’s launch. The Minister made these comments yesterday (November 09) at the Colombo District action plan meeting for the national anti-narcotics program, ‘The Whole Country Together’.
