இலங்கையில் நிலவும் மழையுடனான வானிலை காரணமாக, நாடளாவிய ரீதியில் சுமார் முப்பதாயிரம் மின் விநியோகத் தடை ஏற்பட்டுள்ளதாக இலங்கை மின்சார சபை தெரிவித்துள்ளது. நாட்டின் பல பிரதேசங்களில் கடும் மழையுடனான வானிலை தொடர்ந்து நிலவி வருவதால், இந்த மின்தடையால் மக்கள் பெரும் அவதிக்குள்ளாகியுள்ளனர்.
எனினும், மின் விநியோகத் தடையை மீண்டும் வழமைக்குக் கொண்டு வரும் செயற்பாட்டில் தாமதம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளதாகத் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது. இதற்கு முக்கியக் காரணம், தற்போது நிலவி வரும் தொழிற்சங்க நடவடிக்கை என்று தொழில்நுட்ப வல்லுநர்கள் சங்கத்தின் தலைவர் கோசல அபேசிங்க தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
