நேற்றைய தீபாவளி பண்டிகையை முன்னிட்டு, தமிழ் பாடசாலைகளுக்கு விசேட விடுமுறை வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
அதற்கமைய, இன்று (அக்டோபர் 21) மத்திய, ஊவா, கிழக்கு மற்றும் சப்ரகமுவ மாகாணங்களில் உள்ள அனைத்துத் தமிழ் மொழிப் பாடசாலைகளுக்கும் விசேட விடுமுறை தினமாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
சம்பந்தப்பட்ட மாகாண ஆளுநர்கள் இந்த விடுமுறை தினத்தை அறிவித்துள்ளனர்.
இந்த விடுமுறைக்கான கல்வி நடவடிக்கைகளை எதிர்வரும் சனிக்கிழமை (25) நடத்துமாறு பணிப்புரை விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
எவ்வாறாயினும், வட மாகாணத்தில் உள்ள தமிழ் பாடசாலைகள் இன்றைய தினம் வழமைப்போல் இடம்பெறும் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
A special holiday has been granted to Tamil schools in the Central, Uva, Eastern, and Sabaragamuwa provinces today (October 21) on account of the Diwali festival that was celebrated yesterday, with the respective provincial governors issuing the directive. However, schools have been instructed to conduct the missed academic activities this Saturday (the 25th), while Tamil schools in the Northern Province will function as usual today.
