கொழும்புத் துறைமுகத்தில் உள்ள அதானி முனையத்தின் (Adani Terminal) கப்பல்துறைக்கு (Jetty) அருகில் கடலில் சடலம் ஒன்று கிடப்பதாகக் கிடைத்த தகவலின் அடிப்படையில் கொழும்புத் துறைமுகப் பொலிஸார் விசாரணைகளை ஆரம்பித்துள்ளனர்.

சடலம் அழுகிய நிலையில் அடையாளம் காண முடியாத நிலையில் இருப்பதாகவும், அவர் நீல நிற ஜீன்ஸ் காற்சட்டை அணிந்திருந்ததாகவும் பொலிஸார் தெரிவித்தனர்.
நீதவான் விசாரணையின் பின்னர் சடலம் கொழும்பு தேசிய வைத்தியசாலையின் பிரேத அறையில் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
The Colombo Harbour Police have commenced investigations following the discovery of a decomposed body floating in the sea near the jetty of the Adani Terminal at the Colombo Port. The deceased, estimated to be about 5 feet tall, was unidentifiable due to the state of decomposition but was wearing blue jeans. Following the magistrate’s inquiry, the body has been placed in the mortuary of the Colombo National Hospital.
