இலங்கை பெற்றோலியக் கூட்டுத்தாபனத்தில் (CPC) பௌசர் உதவியாளர் (Bowser Assistant) வேலைவாய்ப்பைப் பெற்றுத் தருவதாக உறுதியளித்து இலஞ்சம் பெற்ற தனியார் துறை பாதுகாப்பு உத்தியோகத்தர் ஒருவர், இலஞ்ச ஊழல் குற்றச்சாட்டின் பேரில் இன்று (20) கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
குற்றம் சாட்டப்பட்ட பாதுகாப்பு உத்தியோகத்தர், முறைப்பாட்டாளர் மற்றும் அவரது நண்பர் ஒருவரிடமிருந்து:

இரண்டு சந்தர்ப்பங்களில் 40,000 ரூபா பணத்தையும்,

வங்கிக் கணக்கு ஊடாக 10,000 ரூபா பணத்தையும்
ஆக மொத்தம் 50,000 ரூபா இலஞ்சமாகக் கோரிப் பெற்றுள்ளதாகத் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது.
அதற்கமைய, குறித்த தனியார் துறை பாதுகாப்பு உத்தியோகத்தர், இலஞ்ச ஊழல் விசாரணை ஆணைக்குழுவின் (CIABOC) விசாரணை அதிகாரிகளால் இன்று முற்பகல் 11.30 மணியளவில் களனி, பெத்தியாகொட பகுதியில் வைத்து கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
கைது செய்யப்பட்ட சந்தேக நபர் கொழும்பு பிரதான நீதவான் நீதிமன்றில் ஆஜர்படுத்தப்படவுள்ளார்.
A private sector security officer was arrested today (20) on charges of bribery for promising a job as a Bowser Assistant at the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC). The accused is reported to have solicited and received a total of Rs. 50,000 in bribes from a complainant and their friend, including Rs. 40,000 in cash on two occasions and Rs. 10,000 via a bank transfer. The suspect was arrested by investigators from the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) around 11:30 AM in the Pethiyagoda, Kelaniya area and is scheduled to be produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.
