இரத்தினபுரி அயகம பொலிஸ் பிரிவுக்குட்பட்ட கொலம்பேவ பகுதியில், பெண்ணொருவர் மற்றும் அவரது 16 வயது மகன் மீது நேற்று (20) இரவு அசிட் வீச்சு நடத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
தகவலறிந்து சம்பவ இடத்துக்கு விரைந்த பொலிஸார் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பெண் மற்றும் அவரது மகனை அயகம வைத்தியசாலையில் சேர்த்துள்ளனர்.
பெண் உயிரிழப்பு
வைத்தியசாலையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில், 40 வயதான குறித்த பெண் உயிரிழந்துள்ளார்.
அயல் வீட்டாருடன் ஏற்பட்ட தனிப்பட்ட தகராறின் காரணமாகவே இச் சம்பவம் நிகழ்ந்துள்ளதாக ஆரம்ப விசாரணைகளில் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது. உயிரிழந்த பெண்ணின் சடலம் இரத்தினபுரி வைத்தியசாலையின் பிரேத அறையில் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்நிலையில், சந்தேக நபர்களைக் கைது செய்வதற்காக அயகம பொலிஸார் மேலதிக விசாரணைகளை மேற்கொண்டு வருகின்றனர்.
A woman and her 16-year-old son were subjected to an acid attack last night (20) in the Kolambewa area within the Ayagama Police Division in Ratnapura. Police rushed to the scene and admitted the victims to Ayagama Hospital. Tragically, the 40-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Initial investigations suggest that the incident occurred due to a personal dispute with a neighbor. The body of the deceased woman has been placed in the Ratnapura Hospital mortuary, and Ayagama Police are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects.
