பாலகுடா களப்பில் படகு கவிழ்ந்து ஏற்பட்ட விபத்தில் இளைஞர் ஒருவர் உயிரிழந்துள்ளதாகக் கற்பிட்டி பொலிஸார் தெரிவித்தனர்.
இந்த விபத்தில் உயிரிழந்தவர் பாலகுடா பிரதேசத்தைச் சேர்ந்த 22 வயதுடைய இளைஞர் ஆவார்.
தொழில்நுட்பக் கோளாறுக்கு உள்ளாகியிருந்த படகின் இன்ஜினைப் பழுதுபார்த்துவிட்டு, அதனைச் சோதித்துப் பார்ப்பதற்காகச் சென்றபோதே இந்த விபத்து நடந்ததாகத் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது.
விபத்தின் போது களப்பில் மூழ்கிய இந்த இளைஞரைப் பிரதேசவாசிகள் உடனடியாக மீட்டுச் சிகிச்சைக்காகக் கற்பிட்டி வைத்தியசாலையில் அனுமதித்தனர். எனினும், அங்கு அவர் சிகிச்சை பலனின்றி உயிரிழந்துள்ளார்.
சம்பவம் தொடர்பில் கற்பிட்டிப் பொலிஸார் மேலதிக விசாரணைகளை மேற்கொண்டு வருகின்றனர்.
A 22-year-old youth from Palakuda died after a boat capsized in the Palakuda lagoon, according to Kalpitiya Police. The accident occurred when the young man went to test the boat’s engine after repairing a technical fault. Although he was rescued by local residents and admitted to Kalpitiya Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. Kalpitiya Police are currently conducting further investigations into the incident.
