The Department of Meteorology forecasts intermittent rain in the Northern, North Central, Eastern, and Uva provinces, as well as in the Hambantota and Matale districts. Other parts of the country can expect rain or thundershowers after $1:00 \text{ PM}$, with moderately heavy rainfall of around $75 \text{ mm}$ possible in some areas of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces. Misty conditions are also expected in the early morning hours in parts of the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, North Central, Kurunegala, and Vavuniya districts, and the public is advised to take precautions against strong winds and lightning during thunderstorms.
