இம்முறை சிவனொளிபாதமலை பருவ கால யாத்திரை இன்று (04) ஆரம்பமாகிறது.
இன்று ஆரம்பமாகும் இந்த யாத்திரையானது, அடுத்த ஆண்டு வெசாக் பௌர்ணமி தினம் வரை நடைபெறும்.
2025 – 2026ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான யாத்திரை ஆரம்பத்தைக் குறிக்கும் வகையில், ஸ்ரீ சுமன சமன் சிலையினை மலை உச்சிக்குக் கொண்டு செல்லும் பவனி, நேற்று (03) அதிகாலை பெல்மதுளை கல்பொத்தாவல ராஜமஹா விகாரையிலிருந்து முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டது.
இந்நிகழ்வு, ஸ்ரீபாதஸ்தானாதிபதி வணக்கத்திற்குரிய பெங்கமுவே தம்மதிண்ண நாயக்க தேரரின் வழிகாட்டலின் கீழ் இடம்பெற்றது.
The annual pilgrimage season for Sri Pada (Adam’s Peak) officially begins today (04th) and will continue until the next Vesak Full Moon Day in 2026. The season’s commencement was marked by a procession held yesterday (03rd) morning, which carried the statue of Sri Sumana Saman to the summit from the Balmadulla Galpottawala Raja Maha Vihara, under the guidance of the Chief Incumbent of Sri Pada, Venerable Bengamuwe Dhammadinna Nayake Thero.
