யாழ்ப்பாணத்தில் நாயுடன் மோதி விபத்துக்கு உள்ளான ஒருவர், சிகிச்சை பலனின்றி நேற்றைய தினம் (10) உயிரிழந்துள்ளார். வட்டுக்கோட்டைப் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த இராசதுரை நிஷாந்தன் (வயது 38) எனும் இளைஞரே விபத்தில் சிக்கி உயிரிழந்தவராவார்.
உயிரிழந்தவர் யாழ். நகரில் தொழில் செய்து வந்தவர். கடந்த 06ஆம் திகதி தனது வேலையை முடித்துக்கொண்டு மோட்டார் சைக்கிளில் வீடு திரும்பிக் கொண்டிருந்தபோது, வீதியின் குறுக்கே ஓடிவந்த ஒரு நாயுடன் மோதி விபத்துக்கு உள்ளானார்.
இந்த விபத்தின் காரணமாகப் பலத்த காயங்களுடன் அவர் உடனடியாக யாழ். போதனா வைத்தியசாலையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டார். அங்கு தீவிர சிகிச்சை பெற்று வந்த நிலையில், சிகிச்சை பலனளிக்காமல் அவர் நேற்றைய தினம் உயிரிழந்துவிட்டார்.
A 38-year-old youth named Rasathurai Nishanthan from the Vattukottai area succumbed to his injuries yesterday (10) after being involved in a motorcycle accident in Jaffna. The deceased, who worked in Jaffna town, met with the accident on the 6th of the month when he was returning home after work and collided with a dog running across the road. He was admitted to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital with severe injuries but passed away despite receiving treatment.
