மறு அறிவித்தல் வரும்வரை, ஊழியர்களின் விடுமுறைகள் ரத்து செய்யப்படுவதாக இலங்கை மின்சார சபையின் பொது முகாமையாளர் எழுத்துப்பூர்வமாக அறிவித்துள்ளார்.
மின்சார விநியோக சேவையை அத்தியாவசிய சேவையாக அறிவித்து, கடந்த 21ஆம் திகதி விசேட வர்த்தமானி அறிவித்தல் ஒன்று வெளியிடப்பட்டது.
1979ஆம் ஆண்டு 61ஆம் இலக்க அத்தியாவசிய பொது சேவைகள் சட்டத்தின் 2ஆம் உறுப்புரிமையின் கீழ் ஜனாதிபதிக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட அதிகாரங்களின்படி, ஜனாதிபதி அநுர குமார திசாநாயக்க இந்த வர்த்தமானியில் கையெழுத்திட்டு வெளியிட்டுள்ளார்.
பொதுமக்கள் வாழ்க்கையைப் பாதிக்கும் எந்தவொரு இடையூறுகளையும் தவிர்ப்பதற்காக இந்த வர்த்தமானி அறிவித்தல் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

The holidays for all Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) employees have been cancelled with immediate effect until further notice. This decision follows a special gazette notification issued on the 21st, which declared electricity supply as an essential public service. The gazette was signed by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake under the powers vested in him by the Essential Public Services Act of 1979. The move aims to prevent any disruption to the essential service and ensure the maintenance of normal public life.
