நாட்டில் அரச சேவைகளுக்காக அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ள ‘GovPay’ என்ற டிஜிட்டல் கட்டண முறை மூலம் ஒரு பில்லியன் ரூபாய்க்கும் அதிக பணம் செலுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
நேற்று (நவம்பர் 03) நிலவரப்படி, இந்த மைல்கல்லை எட்டியுள்ளது. அதேநேரம் 200 அரச நிறுவனங்கள் இந்த டிஜிட்டல் கட்டண முறையில் இணைந்துள்ளன என்று டிஜிட்டல் பொருளாதார அமைச்சு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
அரச சேவைகளின் பாதுகாப்பான மற்றும் இணையவழி கட்டணத்திற்காக ‘GovPay’ டிஜிட்டல் கட்டண முறையை டிஜிட்டல் பொருளாதார அமைச்சு, தகவல் மற்றும் தொடர்பு தொழில்நுட்ப நிறுவனம் (ICTA) மற்றும் லங்கா பே (LankaPay) ஆகியவை இணைந்து அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளன.
வரிகள் மற்றும் அபராதங்கள் உட்பட பல்வேறு அரசு தொடர்பான பரிவர்த்தனைகளை விரைவாகவும், எளிதாகவும், பணமில்லாமலும் செய்யும் நோக்கில் இந்த புதிய கட்டண முறை அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டது.
அத்துடன் நேற்று வரை இந்த முறை மூலம் 40,920 பரிவர்த்தனைகள் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதாகத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் அடுத்த கட்டமாக ஆயிரம் அரச நிறுவனங்களைச் சேர்த்து ஒரு டிரில்லியன் ரூபாய் என்ற கட்டண வரம்பைக் கடப்பதற்கு எதிர்பார்த்துள்ளதாக டிஜிட்டல் பொருளாதார அமைச்சு குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளது.
The ‘GovPay’ digital payment system, introduced for government services in the country, has processed over one billion rupees in payments as of yesterday (November 03). The Ministry of Digital Economy stated that 200 government institutions have already joined this digital payment method.
The ‘GovPay’ system was jointly introduced by the Ministry of Digital Economy, the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA), and LankaPay for secure online payments for state services. This new system was launched with the goal of making various government transactions, including taxes and fines, faster, easier, and cashless. It was also reported that 40,920 transactions have been completed through this method as of yesterday.
The Ministry of Digital Economy stated that the next phase of the project aims to include one thousand government institutions and cross a payment threshold of one trillion rupees.
