The Department of Meteorology has forecast intermittent rain or thundershowers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North Western, and Northern provinces, as well as the Galle and Matara districts.
The forecast indicates that fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm is likely in some areas within these provinces.
In other parts of the country, rain or thundershowers are expected after 1:00 PM, with some places receiving rainfall exceeding 50 mm.
