பகிடிவதை புரிந்த குற்றச்சாட்டில் கைதான யாழ்ப்பாணப் பல்கலைக்கழக முகாமைத்துவக் கற்கைகள் மற்றும் வணிகப் பீடத்தின் 19 மாணவர்களின் விளக்கமறியல் காலம் டிசம்பர் 10 ஆம் திகதி வரை நீடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
பல்கலைக்கழகத்திற்கு வெளியே உள்ள வீடொன்றுக்குக் கனிஷ்ட மாணவர்களை அழைத்துச் சென்று தாக்குதல் நடத்தி பகிடிவதையில் ஈடுபட்டதாகக் கூறப்படும் இந்த 19 மாணவர்களும் கடந்த மாதம் 29 ஆம் திகதி கோப்பாய் பொலிஸாரால் கைது செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தனர்.
சந்தேகநபர்கள் நேற்று (3) யாழ்ப்பாணம் மேலதிக நீதிவான் நீதிமன்றத்தில் ஆஜர்படுத்தப்பட்டனர்.
இந்நிலையில், குறித்த மாணவர்களை எதிர்வரும் 10 ஆம்திகதி வரை விளக்கமறியலில் வைக்குமாறு நீதவான் உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளார்.
The remand custody period for 19 students from the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce at the University of Jaffna, who were arrested by Kopay Police on November 29th on charges of ragging and assaulting junior students at an off-campus house, has been extended until December 10th. The suspects were produced before the Jaffna Additional Magistrate’s Court yesterday (3rd), where the Magistrate ordered the extension of their detention.
