யாழ்ப்பாணம் பொலிஸ் பிரிவுக்குட்பட்ட கலட்டிச் சந்தியில் இன்று காலை இடம்பெற்ற வாள்வெட்டுத் தாக்குதலில் ஒருவர் காயமடைந்துள்ளார்.
மோட்டார் சைக்கிளில் சென்று கொண்டிருந்த ஒருவர் மீது, வேன் ஒன்றில் வந்தவர்கள் இந்த வாள்வெட்டுத் தாக்குதலை நடத்திவிட்டு அங்கிருந்து தப்பிச் சென்றுள்ளதாகத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்தச் சம்பவத்தில் காயமடைந்த கோண்டாவில் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த அந்த இளைஞன், யாழ்ப்பாணம் போதனா வைத்தியசாலையில் சிகிச்சைக்காக அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
சம்பவம் குறித்து யாழ்ப்பாணம் பொலிஸார் மேலதிக விசாரணைகளை மேற்கொண்டு வருகின்றனர்.

An individual was injured in a sword attack that took place this morning at Kaladdi Junction in the Jaffna police division. The victim, a young man from Kondavil, was on a motorcycle when a group of people in a van attacked him before fleeing the scene. The injured man has been admitted to Jaffna Teaching Hospital for treatment. Jaffna police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
