பளை – இத்தாவில் பகுதியில் முச்சக்கரவண்டி ஒன்று ரயிலுடன் மோதுண்டதில் சாரதி பலிகியுள்ளார். இந்த சம்பவம் நேற்று (13) இடம் பெற்றுள்ளது.
கொழும்பில் இருந்து யாழ்ப்பாணம் நோக்கிப் பயணித்த யாழ் தேவி ரயிலுடன், கடவையை கடக்க முற்பட்ட முச்சக்கரவண்டி மோதுண்டு இந்தச் சம்பவம் நடந்தது. இது நேற்று (13) இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது.
இந்தச் சம்பவத்தில் பளை – வண்ணாங்கேணி வடக்கு பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த 68 வயதுடைய வயோதிபரே உயிரிழந்துள்ளார். அவர் முச்சக்கரவண்டியின் சாரதி ஆவார்.
உயிரிழந்தவரின் சடலம் கொடிகாமம் ரயில் நிலையத்தில் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்தச் சம்பவம் தொடர்பான மேலதிக விசாரணைகளை பளை பொலிஸார் மேற்கொண்டு வருகின்றனர்.
The driver of a three-wheeler was killed yesterday (the 13th) after his vehicle collided with the Yarl Devi train traveling from Colombo to Jaffna while attempting to cross the railway track in the Palai – Ithaavil area. The victim was a 68-year-old elderly man from Palai – Vannankeni North, and his body has been placed at the Kodikamam Railway Station, with Palai Police conducting further investigations.
