யாழ்ப்பாணம் மணியந்தோட்டம் பகுதியில் ஹெரோயின் போதைப்பொருளுடன் நால்வர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
யாழ்ப்பாணம் பொலிஸ் புலனாய்வுப் பிரிவினருக்கு கிடைத்த இரகசிய தகவலின் அடிப்படையில் நேற்று (அக்டோபர் 30) மாலை யாழ்ப்பாணம் பொலிஸ் போதைப்பொருள் ஒழிப்பு பிரிவினரால் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்ட சுற்றிவளைப்பில் இவர்கள் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
கைதானவர்கள் 24 மற்றும் 25 வயதான நான்கு இளைஞர்கள் எனத் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது.
சந்தேகநபர்களிடம் இருந்து 2 கிராம் 540 மில்லி கிராம் ஹெரோயின் போதைப்பொருள் பொலிஸாரால் கைப்பற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது.
சம்பவம் தொடர்பான மேலதிக விசாரணைகளை யாழ்ப்பாணம் பொலிஸார் முன்னெடுத்துள்ளனர்.
Four individuals have been arrested with heroin in the Maniyantoddam area of Jaffna. The arrests were made yesterday evening (the 30th) during a raid conducted by the Jaffna Police Anti-Narcotics Division, based on a tip-off received by the Jaffna Police Intelligence Unit. The arrested individuals are four young men, aged 24 and 25. Police seized 2 grams and 540 milligrams of heroin from the suspects. Jaffna Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
